We watched “Bhoomi” (பூமி) – https://t.co/IDCcO9p2MA – a few days ago. Horrible movie with so many logic holes that you could probably fit Mars in there 😛
So went back and watched “Swades” (स्वदेस) – https://t.co/OD3H3m1obr – since it’s the same theme. So, so much better! 1/2 16:54:49
“Swades” still stands the test of time even after 17 years. Plus, it hit home pretty close in terms of what people are going through in Sri Lanka …
Wish there was a silver-bullet solution for Sri Lanka like in the movie, but alas, not so simple in real-life 🙁 2/2 16:54:52

“Doctor” (டாக்டர்) – https://t.co/8zasd1JjOX – is one of the most enjoyable Tamil movies I’ve seen in a while 🙂 Funny, different, and fairly intelligent, though there are a few licenses taken for the sake of humour. Definitely a change from the usual hyper-violent fare … 01:55:30

Apple’s “Foundation” is a huge disappointment. It is nothing at all like the “Foundation” I remember from way back when I read Isaac Asimov’s writing …
This is more like a bastardised version trying to draw parallels with American empire building than anything else, IMO. 01:15:36

"See", "Titans", and "Into the Night" (season 2) are current examples. Just so tired of these stories which wouldn't even happen if the people didn't act the way they do. All these plots basically are – "it happened this way, just accept it."
But I just can't accept it 😜 2/2 04:05:00
So very tired of movies and TV shows which rely on people acting like total a-holes even when the actions aren't in their own self-interest if they just stop to think about it. Or, people just doing something which makes no sense based on what is going on in the story … 1/2 04:05:00
